CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEESE BARS

1 tube (18 ounce) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 C sugar
1 egg

Cut dough in half and press into bottom of greased 8" baking pan to form the crust
Combine sugar, egg, cream cheese in bowl and blend with mixer until smooth
Spread onto cookie crust
Crumble rest of cookie dough on top of mixture

Bake 350 for 35-40 minutes

Variations:
Try a little almond extract in cheese mixture
